Hot Forging

INDUSTRY
The hot forging division’s machine fleet includes mechanical presses and power hammers ranging from 300 to 1,000 tons.
All forging lines are fully automated, equipped with electronic systems for loading and unloading parts. Robots manage every stage of the forging process — including die lubrication and part handling — to ensure
consistently high quality standards, even for heavy components.
In addition to hot forging machines, the division also features automatic cutting machines, punching presses, and shot blasting units for both standard and stainless-steel surface treatments.

After the hot forging process, the division completes the product — when required by the customer — with chip removal machining operations such as drilling, threading, facing, and grinding, and/or with surface finishing treatments including steel and stainless-steel shot blasting, pickling, nickel and chrome plating, brushing and polishing, and tumbling. These machining and finishing operations can be carried out either in-house or through qualified external suppliers, always under IAMET’s strict supervision.
The division is also able to provide inspection reports with dimensional analyses and raw material traceability, and upon request, process capability studies (Cp, CpK, Cm) and statistical production
analysis (SPC).
