Sustainability

Environmental sustainability is a priority for IAMET. At the core of this commitment lies IAMET’s primary raw material: metal.
Metal is by nature infinitely recyclable. All production waste from stamping (both cold and hot) and from secondary processes (such as chips, burrs, and powders) is sent to foundries, where it is reprocessed and transformed back into raw material for new productions — creating a virtually endless, zero-waste cycle.

The waste produced from other processes — particularly from galvanic finishing, painting, and PVD coating — is collected in a water treatment system that, both at the Cavaria con Premezzo and Albignasego sites, is meticulously designed in compliance with current regulations. In Albignasego specifically, the system has been the focus of significant investments in recent years and can now be considered state-of-the-art, reflecting the most advanced technologies
available today.

The goals

Environmental impact reduction goals are also pursued through:

Highly efficient and fully automated systems.
In particular, the galvanic lines, PVD, cataphoresis, and painting systems at the Albignasego site are the result of substantial investments made in recent years. They enable the optimization of processing times, material usage, energy consumption, and the recycling of process water.

Use of solar panels for electricity generation.
On the roofs of the two main plants, photovoltaic systems with a total capacity of 2.5 MW have been installed.
But for IAMET, sustainability means not only caring for the environment but also for people. The company is therefore committed to promoting, first and foremost, gender equality across all its operations, ensuring equal opportunities for growth and development for all employees regardless of gender, and particularly supporting parenthood with policies designed to assist both parents.

In this regard, IAMET is especially proud to have obtained Gender Equality Certification in December 2024, at the end of a process that involved the entire company. This milestone represented not only a moment of growth for the corporate spirit but also an increase in social awareness for all employees.

More broadly, social responsibility is at the heart of everything IAMET does. From ethical principles to respect for human rights, including the application of national collective agreements, protection against child labor and for young workers, women’s rights, and non-discrimination, we also ask all our suppliers and clients to adopt a responsible approach in conserving natural resources, reducing environmental impact, and minimizing or eliminating waste generation, while orienting their actions toward the well-being of the environment and the community around us.
