Cold Forging

At the core of IAMET’s offering — in terms of production speed and flexibility, but above all
in product quality — lies its in-house mold design activity and the tooling departments,
where molds are both manufactured and maintained.

The three design offices (one for each operational unit) are equipped with nine CAD workstations,
while the tooling department features an extensive machine fleet, including 9 wire EDMs,
3 die-sinking EDMs, and 16 CNC machines (5 of which are YASDA 3- and 5-axis machining centers). All operations are supervised at each site by a team of 8 engineers and design technicians.

Production is carried out through stamping, blanking, or cold deep drawing using presses and transfer systems.
The press fleet at the Cavaria con Premezzo plant consists
of nearly 100 machines with stamping capacities ranging from 20 to 500 tons,
while the Albignasego plant operates 20 stamping presses with capacities from 20 to 60 tons.
